Day 1: Explore the Beaches of Hulhumale

Spend your first day in Hulhumale island. The island is accessible by boat, water taxis and seaplane. There are a number of luxury and budget hotels in the area. Tourists can explore the island on foot or by renting a scooter.

Day 2: Visit Maafushi via Male

Take a local waterbus to Male city from the Hulhumale port. These boats leave every 30 minutes. When in Male, visit the largest mosque in the city before moving on to Villingili Ferry Terminal to resume the journey towards Maafushi. The boat leaves Male at 3PM. Keep some spare time as the Villingili beach is within walking distance from the port.

Day 3: Explore Maafushi

Maafushi is renowned for its beaches, watersports and delicious cuisine. The four main beaches of Maafushi are Coral Beach, Watersports Beach, Public Beach and Bikini Beach. As the name suggests, Bikini Beach is the only place where women are allowed to wear a bikini and men can be topless. It is illegal to expose skin in public places everywhere else. Day 4 - 5: Visit Fihalhohi

Day 6 - 7: Return to Male

The capital city of Maldives is also the busiest. There are no mandatory places to visit in Male. The Presidential Palace, Sultan’s Park, National Museum and Mule Aage are all places of interest. Depart from Male on the seventh day.
